Bolton Wanderers wait another day to get off the bottom of the table, as they drew 1-1 against Sam Ricketts’ Shrewsbury Town.
Unchanged for the third consecutive game, Wanderers impressed early on and took the lead with a real moment of magic.
Ronan Darcy’s instinctive first time through ball was beautifully chipped into the goal by Thibaud Verlinden from outside the box.
Let’s hope we can extend Thibaud’s loan, he would certainly be a hard player to replace.
Wanderers were made to rue missed chances when The Shrews equalised ten minutes into the second half.
Jason Lowe then produced a moment of madness, with a dire two footed challenge for which he was rightly sent off.
Thankfully, Wanderers defended well, with Remi Matthews pulling off a sensational double save to ensure The Whites didn’t leave the game with nothing.
All things considered, a decent point.
We go again against Burton Albion on Wednesday.
