Amidst all the takeover talk, Bolton Wanderers still seem to be looking to bring in a forward on a free transfer.
The newest name linked is the former Middlesbrough, Swansea City & Blackburn Rovers player, Marvin Emnes. As reported by Alan Nixon:

The 30 year old Dutchman is a free agent after leaving Vancouver Whitecaps at the end of the MLS season. He only signed for the Canadian side in September & played no games for them in the short spell.
Emnes is no stranger to Championship football, having scored 30 times in 166 games.
This isn’t the first time that Emnes has been linked with a move to Bolton. He was previously linked with a move during the Freedman era, and saw a loan deal to The Macron collapse at the last minute in 2015.
He’s a player with plenty of experience, but can he make a difference this season? Guess we’ll wait and see.
