Another little rumour about the potential takeover at Bolton Wanderers was in The Sun this morning.
According to Alan Nixon, former Rangers and Everton defender David Weir is likely to be a part of a new management team at Wanderers if/when the takeover happens.
Nixon states:

Weir has spent several years working as Mark Warburton’s assistant at Brentford, Rangers & Nottingham Forest.
Weir also has experience as a manger himself, with a spell at Sheffield United in 2013, though the Blades only won once in thirteen games before he was sacked.
Mark Warburton has been heavily linked as having “sounded out players and staff” as a main figurehead in a potential takeover. So it makes total sense that Weir would be linked with a return to football with Bolton.
