Bolton Wanderers Confirm Takeover Close

In a statement that was just released by the club, Ken Anderson has announced he has reached an agreement to sell the club.

The Chairman is pleased to announce that an agreement in principle has been reached that will result in Inner Circle Investments selling its total shareholding in Burnden Leisure.

A period of due diligence has now begun, once this process has been completed and the requirements of the EFL have been satisfied a further announcement will be made to supporters.

This is the news that Wanderers fans have been waiting for, and so rightly deserve. The Bolton News has reported that a consortium headed by Parminder Basran and Sharron Brittan has now entered into a period of exclusivity and could complete the deal by the end of this week.

Let’s hope this can provide the much needed boost to the squad, to push on for the rest of the campaign and fight relegation to the bitter end.
