Welcome back to the centenary anniversary episode of the LOVpod featuring two very special guests, Super John McGinlay and Marc Iles.
Join myself Will, Chris and Tom as we chat to Bolton legend John McGinlay and Bolton News’ chief football writer and friend of the site Marc Iles about all things Bolton Wanderers.
Positive that this is our best one and what a way to commemorate the anniversary than be humbled and fascinated by a man loved by all.
The episode features a chronological review of John’s career from how he signed for Wanderers to his relationship with Bruce Rioch, closest teammates, fondest memories from Burnden Park, reflections on the Reebok move, his departure to Bradford City, his awe of Sir Nat Lotfhouse and his opinion on the current situation at Bolton both on and off the field.
Marc also provides an insight into our most recent deadline day and shares his nostalgic memories with us as we pepper them with questions and opinions on behalf of you all.
We know we kept this under wraps but we can pretty confidently say that we covered all basis and got pretty much everything out of the pair that any Bolton fan could ask for.
Thankyou for all your support over the years, it’s a huge milestone for us and what better way than to celebrate it with you all than reminiscing about the good old days with a club legend. I can assure you this was humbling for us and we hope it makes good listening.
Thanks again to John and Marc for joining us.
As ever, sit back, relax and enjoy episode 100 of the LOVpod featuring Super John McGinlay and Marc Iles.
