According to reports in The Sun, Bolton Wanderers defender Mark Beevers has been linked with a move Stateside.

The centre back has apparently caught the eye of MLS side, DC United.

Beevers is runoured to be considering the move due to Wanderers’ financial troubles.

The Washington based team already have a couple of familiar names. Former Burnley and Wigan midfielder Chris McCann & of course, England and Manchester United hero, Wayne Rooney.

Historically, DC are one of the most decorated teams in the competition, having won four Supporters shields and four MLS Cups.

With Rooney leading the team, expectations have been raised, though bookmakers have them as the 11th favourite to win it all this season.

I’m sure Beevers would do well out in America. With his contract up at the end of this season, it might be the best move for the club and the player.

Beevers can probably get a much better contract playing in the States.
