According to reports from The Sun, Bolton Wanderers’ young midfielder Luca Connell is going to have plenty of admirers watching him at Pride Park this afternoon.
The paper states:
”Wolves and Everton are among the clubs impressed by the 17-year-old, who plays for Republic of Ireland Under-18s but qualifies for England.
Southampton and Brighton had bids rejected in January, while Tottenham, Watford and Leeds have tracked his progress after making the step up to senior football.”
Wanderers rejected two bids from clubs on transfer deadline day back in January, but will be left helpless should Connell not sign a professional deal with the club.
A small amount of compensation is all Wanderers will receive should he leave on a free transfer.
It’ll be a huge shame to see Connell leave & it’s no surprise that he plenty of interest given his performances since making his debut against Walsall.
