Last time out Bolton Wanderers not only saw their relegation confirmed but also set a new all-time club record for defeats in a season and extended the club record for most home defeats in a season.

Today the relegation party begins with a delightful trip to Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers, who sit safely in mid-table in their first season back in The Championship.

Phil Parkinson, in what hopefully be one of his last dreary selections, once again persists with Clayton Donaldson up front. How, nobody knows. Craig Noone and Sammy Ameobi return to assist him from wide. Mark Beevers returns for the injured David Wheater and Harry Brockbank makes his second start at right-back. There’s still no place in the squad for Connor Hall - who must be wondering what he has to do to get a look-in given Donaldson and Josh Magennis continue to be atrocious.

Former Bolton loanee Adam Armstrong starts for the host, so pop money on him to score. Bradley Dack will play in behind Ben Brereton, with Danny Graham on the bench.

Here are today’s starting lineups. Follow all the action from Ewood Park in the Comments section below.
