Luca Connell has certainly made a huge impact since breaking into Wanderers’ first team back in January.
With a handful of appearances under his belt, Connell has managed to attract interest from some of the biggest clubs in England & Scotland.
First it was Rangers who were very keen on a deal for Connell, now it’s their city rivals, Celtic FC.
The Scottish Sun has linked The Hoops to Connell, stating:
”CELTIC have made a dramatic move to snatch Republic of Ireland midfielder Luca Connell from Premier League clubs.
Wolves, Norwich and Sheffield United have shown clear interest in taking the Bolton youngster this summer and paying training compensation.
But the Scottish champions can sign the 18-year-old for a much lower cross-border tribunal fee as he would move away from England.
Neil Lennon wants to add Connell - who was called up to the Ireland squad two weeks ago - to his squad for next season after his stunning start to senior football.”
Having now impressed whilst on international duty, it looks increasingly likely that Luca Connell may leave Bolton Wanderers this Summer.
There’s still a glimmer of hope that he could stay, but maybe the lure of Champions League football with the Treble Treble winners will be too hard to turn down.
