The rumours surrounding Bolton Wanderers players leaving continue.
This time, Wanderers playmaker Erhun Oztumer has once again been linked with a move to recently promoted Charlton Athletic.
According to Sky Sports, Oztumer is wanted by Lee Bowyer as he prepares to build a squad ready for The Championship.
The article from Sky states:
”Charlton will reignite their interest in Bolton playmaker Erhun Oztumer after winning promotion to the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Sports News understands.
Addicks manager Lee Bowyer tried to sign the 28-year-old on loan in January, but a move fell through after Bolton failed to secure a deal for striker Ched Evans.
But Bowyer is now expected to return for Oztumer this summer and attempt to secure him on a permanent deal.”
Oztumer actually began his career with Charlton & went to Wembley to watch them beat Sunderland in the play-off final last weekend.
Last season, Oztumer was limited to a handful of appearances for Bolton. Most fans (myself included) were hoping to see him play a major part in the upcoming League One campaign.
However, with a potential move back up to The Championship, Oztumer may be another player to jump ship.
