Seems Bolton Wanderers can’t go a couple of days without a player being linked with a move away these days.
This time, it’s the turn of goalkeeper Ben Alnwick.
According to Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider, a trio of clubs are interested in Alnwick. Those clubs being Huddersfield Town, Wigan Athletic & Charlton Athletic.
The article from Football Insider states:
”Huddersfield Town, Wigan Athletic and Charlton Athletic have set their sights on signing Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Ben Alnwick this summer, Football Insider understands.
Bolton are facing a major battle to keep hold of their players following relegation from the Championship and their uncertain financial position.
Alnwick has a year to run on his contract but a source close to the club has told Football Insider he could be available for free with the players not being paid on various occasions last season.”
Alnwick has been with Wanderers for three years & has been the first choice goalkeeper for the majority of his time.
He lost his place to Remi Matthews halfway through last season after picking up an injury.
Whether or not Alnwick moves on, we’re going to see a vastly different side to the one that finished last season.
Elsewhere, out of contract Craig Noone looks set to join former Wanderers Jem Karacan and Adam Le Fondre down under, having been linked with a move to Manchester City’s Australian club, Melbourne City.
