Luca Connell has certainly made a huge impact since breaking into Wanderers’ first team back in January.
With a handful of appearances under his belt, Connell has managed to attract interest from some of the biggest clubs in England & Scotland.
First it was Rangers who were very keen on a deal for Connell, now it’s their city rivals, Celtic FC.
It’s been rumoured for a while that Neil Lennon’s side are keen on Connell, with a fee as low as £240,00 mentioned.
Now, Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas has stated that Celtic have officially approached Bolton to sign the youngster.
He tweeted:
#Celtic have approached #Bolton about signing 18-year-old Luca Connell. #hoops #bwfc

Having now impressed whilst on international duty, it looks increasingly likely that Luca Connell may leave Bolton Wanderers this Summer.
There’s still a glimmer of hope that he could stay, but maybe the lure of Champions League football with the Treble Treble winners will be too hard to turn down.
Fingers crossed the new owners can sort out a professional contract. Fast.
