What Is This Feeling?

The young Whites played out of their skin today

For so long we, as Bolton Wanderers supporters, have been inclined to be ever so slightly miserable.

Not today.

Scab first teamers apart, regardless of whether today’s result had gone for or against the team, Bolton fans can finally look at their side with absolute pride.

Without the first teamers who have their own gripes (but are glad to put a load of kids in the firing line), Wanderers lined up against Coventry City with a team average 19 or so.

Ordinarily this would’ve been a recipe for disaster. However I get the feeling this isn’t going to be an ordinary season.

In the past a home game to Coventry would’ve given us cause to find excuses to go and then to find even more excuses to moan.

Not today.

My own love for Bolton Wanderers came from a time when we were perennial underdogs. Fighting against the big boys we overcame the odds and succeeded.

The latter might not be the case this year but frankly I don’t care.

This is my Bolton Wanderers.

As far as I’m concerned we are well and truly back.
