Despite having had what has possibly been the worst prepared pre-season ever, Bolton Wanderers fans have virtually bought all 1800 tickets for the opening fixture at Wycombe Wanderers.
#BWFC fans have pretty much snapped up every available seat for tomorrow's game.— Wycombe Wanderers (@wwfcofficial) August 2, 2019
Tickets are now off-sale for away supporters, with no more available on the day.
Fantastic support; have a great trip and join us in the @Printkick Fan Zone for a beer and BBQ beforehand! #WYCvBOL
It’s simply bloody brilliant.
Around 1800 loyal Bolton fans will be travelling across the country to see the first ever meeting between the two Wanderers'. An historic occasion in more ways than one.
Given everything that has happened this Summer, fans would have been forgiven for not wanting to travel the 388 miles to & from Bolton. Especially considering we don’t even know what team will await us when we get there.
Are we all crazy? Possibly. It’s an unwavering kind of loyalty which you can’t help but admire.
The last few years have felt like the club is stuck in a perpetual loop of hurt & disappointment. Though that will never stop fans from turning up to cheer on the Super Whites, with the hope that they’ll see something special on the day.
Maybe the good times will return, but that doesn’t matter right now.
We’re just happy there is still a Bolton Wanderers to support.
See you tomorrow.
