Been a quiet week hasn’t it?

Well, Bolton Wanderers return to league action to take on Ipswich Town at the UNIBOL.

After the Doncaster game was called off over concerns of the welfare of the youngsters, Wanderers now face the only team who were worse than them last season. The Tractor Boys have enjoyed a good start to life in the Third Tier & are still unbeaten after two wins & two draws.

Since the two sides last faced each other in April, Wanderers haven’t scored a league goal. If they fail to do so again today, their goalless run will stretch to ten games.

Parky’s resignation earlier in the weeks means that head of the academy & former Wanderer Jimmy Phillips returns as caretaker manager for the third time. Speculation has already linked Kevin Nolan, David Lee & Keith Hill with the job, though I can only see a permanent manager coming in once Football Ventures’ takeover is complete.

There are no new injury concerns for Bolton, with Liam Edwards, Dennis Politic, Josh Earl & Connor Hall all still sidelined.

Town are red hot favourites for the game (even if Paul Lambert doesn’t think they are) with odds of 1/14. If you believe in miracles, Wanderers are 25/1.
