Bolton Wanderers will be travelling to Wycombe for the first time ever. There is set to be quite the away following with nearing 2,000 Bolton fans expected to make the trip.
After a difficult closed season, can Bolton throw off the shackles at the beginning of the season and send a message to our relegation rivals? I suspect not, but maybe, just maybe, the completed takeover will lift the weight?
With the takeover (at the time of writing reportedly) happening and money moving it is possible the team will end up with a slightly more experienced look to it. Even if that is the case it is likely that none of those players will be in the right frame of mind to play. That means Bolton may still have a very young look to them on Saturday.
Although, the EFL have promised fast tracked registrations which could on the flip side bolster the squad ahead of the game. We will see.
Wycombe have signed some players, none of whom I have heard of. The most recent is some bloke called Josh Parker, who became their ninth signing. Another new signing, Fred Onyedinma, is meant to be fast which will be enough to cause havoc for us no doubt.
Home win - 2/7
Draw - 21/5
Away win - 11/1
I cannot see Bolton getting a result, despite being tempted by the odds on us to do so. Wycombe 2-0 Bolton.
