In what appears to be the first done deal of this most manic of Mondays, the latest word on the street is that Bolton Wanderers are close to bringing in Jake Wright from Sheffield United.
Jake who?
Keighley-born Wright is a 33 year old defender who can count Bradford City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Oxford United as former clubs in a career which began at Bradford in 2005.
Wright spent six years at Oxford, making over 220 appearances as captain (earning promotion twice) before moving to Sheffield United in 2016, making 46 appearances since.
His experience will no doubt come in handy considering the problems that our defence has had of late.
Along with Liam Bridcutt it appears that Wanderers are starting to get their arses in gear with the new management team of Keith Hill and David Flitcroft utilising their contacts book to its fullest extent.
Prepare for a busy day everyone, Wanderers are back in business.
