Bolton Wanderers, reportedly on the brink of signing Liam Bridcutt from Nottingham Forest have been linked with his mate Daryl Murphy today.

The experienced striker, 36, has struggled for Championship minutes so far this season and will be looking to move on soon in order to get back on the pitch.

Hailing from Waterford, Ireland, nomadic striker Murphy has played for 10 different clubs during his career, notching over 100 goals along the way along with three in 32 international appearances for the Republic of Ireland.

He would no doubt bring no end of experience to the Wanderers line-up should the move take place, although concerns about his mobility at 36 are well-founded though at this stage beggars can’t often be choosers.

Will Murphy join his pal Bridcutt at the Reebok by 5pm today? Keep an eye on lionofviennasuite.com and we’ll keep you abreast of all developments.
