Another day, another Bolton Wanderers transfer rumour.
After bringing in Toto Nsiala on loan from Ipswich Town on Friday, Wanderers continue their search for new defensive recruitments.
The rumour from the papers this morning is thay Wanderers are stepping up their interest in Hibernian centre back, Adam Jackson.
According to The Sun’s Alan Nixon, Wanderers interest is growing as they look to put together a bargain deal.
Jackson is also thought to be keen on returning back from north of the border.
So who is Adam Jackson?
Well, he’s a 25 year old Middlesbrough academy graduate, who has spent the majority of his career so far in the lower leagues with Hartlepool United and Barnsley.
After some digging, our Reece found that Jackson is described as a “quality player ruined with injuries at the wrong times”. He’ll fit right in.
Capped at U19 level for England, Jackson has only featured six times in the SPL this season, so it would seem that Jack Ross is open to letting him leave. He’s been mainly stuck on the bench since Ross was appointed.
Even though he only signed a two year deal last Summer, presumably Wanderers will be hoping that Hibs will mutually terminate Jacksons contract.
