One of our own is being linked with a move away.

According to reports in this mornings The Sun, Bolton Wanderers defender & part time captain Harry Brockbank is being linked with a move to League One promotion chasers Sunderland, with Phil Parkinson keen to sign his former player.

Last Summer Sunderland were one of a few teams who were rumoured to have an interest in Brockbank, alongside the likes of Burnley & Brentford.

Thankfully for Bolton, Brockbank opted to stay and signed a new two year deal on the eve of the season.

Brockbank has played eight times for Wanderers this season, though picked up an unfortunate injury which was prolonged by a muscular issue & has only just recently returned to the first team.

He’s only made one appearance since his return, a fifteen minute spell to forget against Lincoln last Tuesday.

Brockbank has eighteen months to run on his current deal, so if Parky and Sunderland want him, they’re going to have to pay.

Brockbank is one of a few players who we’re hoping will be around for years to come, as Wanderers look to put together a team ready to go up the Football League ladder.
