Transfer Gossip: David Wheater linked with possible Wanderers return

It’s fair to say that Bolton Wanderers could do with defensive recruits this window. Well, we’ve been linked with a familiar face. According to everyone’s favourite twitter oracle Alan Nixon, David Wheater is being mooted with a possible return to the club.

Nicko stated on twitter: “Bolton. Poss return for old favourite David Wheater. Been at Oldham. However ... moves afoot.”

Former Wanderers captain Wheater moved in the Summer to Oldham & has scored three times in twenty-two games.

Nobody played more games for the club last decade than Wheater, who was part of some of the best & worst moments during that time.

Wanderers needed new signings, though with Wheater nearly 33, is he the right option?
