A fans favourite & academy graduate is potentially heading back to Bolton Wanderers today.
According to reports that first originated in The Athletic, Zach Clough is set to return to Wanderers for his third spell with the club.
The Athletic state that Wanderers are keen to re-sign Clough and Bridcutt in a double deal from Forest.
Marc Iles has added further detail, suggesting that both players could possibly be signed permanently. Amazing.
Clough scored 22 goals in 68 games for Wanderers from 2015 to 2017, before leaving to join Nottingham Forest on Deadline day three years ago for £3.5 million.
A year later, Clough returned on deadline day as a replacement for Gary Madine, though he managed to score just once in nine appearances.
Keith Hill then took Clough to Rochdale, though his time there was plagued with injuries.
Clough’s had a torrid time at Forest & a move back home could well be exactly what he needs to reignite his career.
