With rumours flying around that Jimmy Dunne is attracting interest north of the border, Bolton Wanderers have once again been linked with another defender. This time, it’s Hibs centre back, Adam Jackson.
This rumour comes from Alan Nixon, who tweeted:
”Bolton. Taking an interest in Adam Jackson at Hibs. English lad. Defender. Casting the net wide. Not for green light for Wheater and Dunne as yet.”
So who is Adam Jackson?
Well, he’s a 25 year old Middlesbrough academy graduate, who has spent the majority of his career so far in the lower leagues with Hartlepool United and Barnsley.
After some digging, our Reece found that Jackson is described as a “quality player ruined with injuries at the wrong times”. He’ll fit right in.
Capped at U19 level for England, Jackson has only featured six times in the SPL this season, so it would seem that Jack Ross is open to letting him leave, presumably on a loan deal.
Wanderers need to add to their defensive ranks. Is Jackson the next through the door? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
