Bolton Wanderers make it three wins in a row for the first time in a year - after beating Stevenage 2-1 at the Lamex Stadium.

Wanderers were dominant in the first half and certainly put their stamp on the game early on, taking the lead just before the fifteen minute mark. Antoni Sarcevic saw his shot saved, before Eoin Doyle buried the rebound with an acrobatic scissor kick. Was he offside? Quite possibly. Do we care? Absolutely not.

The lead was doubled ten minutes before half time with a simply sublime counter attacking goal. Baptiste (who was fantastic today) played a wonderful pass to Doyle, who ran up the pitch & found the onrushing Gethin Jones, who teed the ball across the box for Crawford, who kept his shot low and in the corner to give Wanderers a hugely deserved two goal lead.

A rare blip allowed the hosts to half the deficit just before the break through Peet.

The second half wasn’t as commanding for Bolton, though it was a determined performance to come away from the game with all three points. Matt Gilks once again showed his experience. producing a wonderful save to deny the hosts an equaliser.

The win lifts Wanderers up to 16th - though we are now only four points off the play-off places. Fantastic.
