Thanks to a fourth consecutive league win (five in all comps!), Bolton Wanderers are now in the top half of the table for the first time in over two years.
Wanderers comprehensively beat struggling Southend United 3-0, with Nathan Delfouneso & Eoin Doyle on the scoresheet.
The star of the match was by far and away Big Bap - Alex ‘David Beckham’ Baptiste, who set up Delfouneso and Doyle with two terrific crosses.
On another day, Wanderers could have scored several more & did actually have four goals ruled out for offside - though the three points is all that matters.
Wanderers were solid defensively throughout - though Gilks made a few fantastic saves on the rare occasions Southend threatened his goal.
Bolton go up to 9th, just one point off the play-off places.
The one downside today was seeing Andrew Tutte substituted in the first half after going down off the ball. Lets hope it’s nothing too serious - as the midfielder has become an integral part of the starting line-up this season.
