In the end, it’s another defeat for Bolton Wanderers. They’ve just lost 2-1 against a relatively poor Doncaster Rovers side.
I could ramble on about another abject performance that lacked quality & talk about the poor defending for the goals. I’m not going to do that. I’m not going to mention the horrific defending Doncaster displayed for our goal.
Instead, I’m using this immediate reaction to praise the few hundred Wanderers fans who made the perilous journey over the Pennines to Donny.
Regardless of how the players have performed on the pitch, the fans have been there in numbers to cheer on Wanderers all season.
It was bitterly cold, though that didn’t stop the fans from showing their support the whole game, chanting from start to finish.
It’s the kind of unwavering support that will be vital next season, whether Bolton reside in League One or League Two.
Safe travels & wrap up warm to all who travelled. 518 heroes.
Up the Whites.
