Recent times at Wanderers have hardly seen any players come through the door who can be called a “fans favourite”, making those who do fit the mould even more revered. For Episode 135 of the Lion of Vienna Suite Podcast, we welcomed back a man whose popularity amongst our supporters is never likely to wane: Adam Le Fondre.
The first time we spoke to ALF he met with Eddie Skelly in a very busy Starbucks in Sydney soon after he’d made the transition from Horwich to “down under”. Now, nearly two years on, he re-joins myself, Tom, and also Will to reminisce about those memorable days against both Peterborough and Nottingham Forest, the different sagas which saw him join the Whites on three separate occasions and to catch us up on his career at Sydney FC.
We also put your Twitter questions to Alfie, with thankfully no mention of a certain someone and the signed shirt they think they were owed!
Our recent podcasts with our other special guests, Stuart Holden and Radhi Jaidi, can be found either on the site or on iTunes and I would thoroughly urge you to check them out, but only after you’ve sat back, relaxed and enjoyed Episode 135 with Adam Le Fondre (who, by the way, is STILL a Wanderer).
