You might be thinking who out those on the pitch for Bolton Wanderers last night would be worth the title of ‘man of the match’.
It was a disappointing night for those in yellow and for the 1150 fans who not only had to endure a lacklustre performance, but also had the pleasure of standing in the cold and rain.
With similar weather conditions expected at Accrington (minus the luxury of a roof in the away end), lets hope for an improved performance to stop the horrendous run of away defeats and to give those travelling fans something to smile about for the first time since the end of September.
Anyway, back to last night and the one I feel is deserving of man of the match.
Not only did they not commit a fowl, they adapted perfectly to the stormy conditions, got into space out wide and displayed the kind of silky footwork we haven’t seen on the road in a while.
I’m talking of course about the duck that pitch invaded at the end of the first half.
Perfect weather for ducks... Literally
