According to reports from Arsenal reporter Charlie Watts, Bolton Wanderers have signed former Arsenal winger Xavier Amaechi on loan from Bundesliga 2 side Hamburg. Earlier reports from Football Insider had suggested that Amaechi was joining Wanderers on a trial basis, though Watts believes it’s a loan deal.
Watts stated on twitter:
“Former Arsenal youngster Xavier Amaechi has joined Bolton on loan from Hamburg. There have been suggestions that he is on trial, but I’m told that is not the case. It’s a straight loan for the 20-year-old.”
Predominantly a right winger though can also play on the left, Amaechi has been with Hamburg since 2019, who picked him up for £2 million from Arsenal’s academy.
Amaechi has just spent the last few months on loan with Bundesliga 2 side Karlsruher SC, scoring twice in eleven games across all competitions.
Amaechi has played internationally with England & made his debut for the U20 side last year, scoring in a 2-0 win against Wales.
And it was an absolute cracker!
