This was something of a frustrating game for Bolton Wanderers. Little seemed to come off for the home team, who were somewhat out played for long spells by a decent Sheffield Wednesday showing.
This is probably why it was a game where I noticed the man trying to break up some play in the middle of the park, and MJ Williams was that man.
In possession he was constantly offering himself as an option and showed good composure on the ball, which is important for the way the team plays. He kept the ball ticking over, albeit some more probing passing would have been welcome and may have allowed Bolton to be more threatening.
He also showed good composure to rifle home a late equaliser when the ball dropped to him from a corner. Having watched 15 minutes of pathetic time wasting from Wednesday, it was particularly glorious to witness.
