Hayden White was another addition to Bolton's reserve system in order to build up options for the future alongside Conor Wilkinson. The former Sheffield Wednesday man started his career as a winger before being moved back to defense. White had signed a professional contract with Sheffield Wednesday in April 2013 but decided to make the switch to the Reebok Stadium over the summer.
Wanderers had to pay a relatively small fee for the player due to his age and the fact that both Bolton and Sheffield Wednesday wanted to avoid a tribunal that would have agreed White's price for them. Prior to signing for Bolton, Hayden White was tracked by Manchester United. Dougie Freedman has made it clear right from the off that the full back will spend plenty of time in the reserve system before he hopefully works up to the first team in due time.
