Chris Lester, a young out-and-out winger, began the 2012/13 season with Bolton Wanderers' U18s. After impressing in David Lee and Tony Kelly's side, Lester established himself in the development squad, scoring plenty of goals for the reserves over the 2012/13 season. Prior to the Championship campaign, a Bolton Wanderers XI with Lester involved beat Daisy Hill by a score of 10-0 with Lester netting four times.
As the Championship season wore on, Lester found himself involved with the first team, making the bench twice last season, including one in the Middlesbrough home match. Lester also received his first international call-up last season with the 18-year-old brought into the Northern Ireland U21 squad.
